English Round Hand/ Copperplate

This script is one of my favourites and one I have studied in depth. Known as English Round Hand or Copperplate, it evolved from italic hands over a long period starting in the 17th century. By the 18th century, it was widely used in England. It then spread globally via trade, becoming particularly prevalent in America by the 19th century. It was a precise yet cursive style and had many variations depending on where it was used and who was writing it. For example 'Running hand' which is an even more cursive similar style for faster business writing.
